Tuesday, September 21st, at 11am PST / 2pm EST, I will be presenting a webinar: “Keys to Selecting SIEM and Log Management”, hosted by NitroSecurity. I’ll cover the basics of SIEM, including data collection and deployment, then dig into use cases, enrichment, data management, forensics, and advanced features.
You can sign up for the webinar here. SIEM and Log Management platforms have been around for a while, so I am not going to spend much time on background, but instead steer more towards current trends and issues. If I gloss over any areas you are especially interested in, we will have 15 minutes for Q&A. You can send questions in ahead of time to info ‘at’ securosis dot com, and I will try to address them within the slides. Or you can submit a question in the WebEx chat facility during the presentation, and the host will help discuss.

Cloud-based SIEM to help compliancy for a separate cloud solution!
Depending on your bastard definition of cloud, a SIEM is a private log cloud!
You know, I think I need to make it a point to use that as a constant question in every single webinar I attend now: “How do I deploy _____ in the cloud to meet compliance?” I’ll leave a wake of aneurysms!
LonerVamp – I wish you were there … you could have helped me answer the “How to deploy SIEM in the cloud for compliance” question.
